Get Involved In The Biggest Community Event In WA!

Volunteers are a crucial part of staging a successful City to Surf. The generous contribution of volunteers time is essential in the delivery of a smooth-running event. Volunteers ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for competitors, spectators, and the community.

WHY VOLUNTEER??

  • Make a contribution towards WA’s largest community sporting event, gain new skills and make new friends.
  • Play a direct part in making our participants’ day a great one! You will be directly benefiting Activ and the thousands of disabled men and women Activ support.
  • Make the day a team-building experience by volunteering as a group. It’s incredibly rewarding. Students, community groups, corporate teams, clubs, friends and family members are all welcome.
Volunteer roles will be matched to skills, knowledge and preference, so you will be filling a vital role that you ENJOY! This year we need over 1000 volunteers on event day to assist in the following areas:
  • Start-Line and Finish-Line
  • Clothing Service Personnel
  • Road Marshals
  • Pedestrian Marshals
  • Aid Station Marshals
  • Drink & Refreshment Stations on course
  • Clean-Up

All volunteers will receive a unique 2010 Rebel Sport City to Surf for Activ t-shirt, a cap, and volunteer certificate for their efforts.

Play your part in Western Australia’s largest community sporting event and make a difference to not only the 40,000 participants on the day, but also the lives of thousands of disabled men and women.

John Ordeman from Girraween has been volunteering for the event for the past 22 years. He supervised a a construction project involving Activ’s business service in Rockingham and decided he wanted to help out even more. John attributes his outstanding part in volunteering to the sense of fulfillment he receives knowing his small contribution helps someone have a better life.

“I love the City to Surf and what it stands for. Activ is a fantastic cause and it’s been great to have seen the event grow to nearly 40,000 participants."
