Sunday 29th August 2010

After you’ve registered for the 2010 event, head back to our website to log in to MyReg. MyReg is where you can view your registration, change events, add postage for your race pack, change your personal details, download your e-ticket and view results from the past 3 City to Surf Events.

If MyReg can’t assist you, one of the City to Surf team can, e-mail us at citytosurf@csports.com.au with any registration queries and we’ll help you through any difficulties you’re experiencing. Remember postal race pack options close at 6pm on Friday July 23rd, so register today!

Every participant in the Rebel Sport City to Surf for Activ must collect a race pack prior to race day. Race packs include an individual Race Bib and coded Timing Tag.

With help from Australia Post, in 2010 we offer all participants the option to have their race pack posted to them. This option is only valid for registrations made prior to 6pm Friday 23rd July. That's this Friday!

If you wish to have your pack posted to you, ensure you have selected the postal option and that your registration is paid in full prior to this cut off date. All participants who do not select the postal option must collect their race packs from the Rebel Sport City to Surf for Activ Expo held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre August 26-28.

The human body is made up largely of water. Water is lost from the body through normal bodily functions such as breathing, and perspiration. When exercise is added to daily activities the rate of water loss is greatly increased.

Regular intake of water while exercising is fundamental to your body achieving optimum performance. To find out more about why hydration is so important CLICK HERE.

Samantha Flanders is 38 years old, lives in Palmyra, and is no stranger to running! Samantha recently won the inaugural Run for a Reason, an event she was using as part of her preperation for the Chevron Marathon.

Samantha, originally from Melbourne, is a former Ironman Triathlete. Samantha has shifted her focus to running and has taken part in a number of Marathon events around Australia over the last few years. Her personal best of 3:03 set at Melbourne in 2006 is a time that would have Samantha finish right up there with the very best female athletes in this year’s Chevron Marathon.

Samantha has completed the 12km course at the City to Surf on 3 separate occasions, and in 2006 finished 5th overall in a PB of 46:59. In 2010 she is determined to set a PB on the 42.2km course. Now well into her training program Samantha hopes to break the 3 hour mark for the first time.

“I’m really excited about taking part in my first City to Surf Marathon! I’m hoping to have a good run that produces a PB, and if that happens to put me among the top female finishers then fantastic”!

We wish Samantha the best of luck come Sunday August 29! To read more please CLICK HERE.
